Ryan Hong began cooking in his childhood home in Honolulu, Hawaii for his family of 6. This continued through college where at Harvard he hosted dinner parties for his friends. Through YouTube, television shows, and his parents’ cookbooks, he taught himself how to cook. He cooks a variety of dishes influenced by his local island upbringing and enjoys cooking across the country for groups in various places.
Outside the kitchen, Ryan loves to stay active by working out, traveling, and surfing.
