Katharine Berkoff is an American swimmer and two-time Olympic medalist. The daughter of Olympian David Berkoff, she grew up in Missoula, Montana, and attended Hellgate High School before competing at North Carolina State University.
Berkoff’s early success included medals at the 2018 Junior Pan Pacific Championships and the 2019 Summer Universiade, where she won gold in the 100m backstroke. She continued her dominance at the NCAA level, winning multiple national titles and breaking records.
Internationally, she has won numerous medals at both the Short Course and Long Course World Championships. In 2022, she broke the American record in the 50m backstroke and secured silver at the World Championships. In 2023, she added a gold in the 4×100m medley relay and multiple individual medals at the World Championships and U.S. Nationals.
